We hold committee meetings every two months and the minutes of these are published on the website. In addition, sub-committees may be set up to deal with particular matters, and currently there is an RDA Saltmarsh Research Group which meets on an ad hoc basis.

There is an AGM in April and an Open Meeting held in the autumn each year, both of which feature a visiting speaker and all members the RDA are encouraged to attend. At least one month’s notice of the next meeting is given in the magazine. Minutes of the AGM are published on the website.

An informal RDA Forum is held every other year, to which all the river-related organisations and businesses are invited.  Representative are asked to raise issues of concern and to express their organisation’s point of view on matters aired by others. If relevant, there may be briefings on topical national and local matters that relate to the river.
